Beer Style: Wheat Ale
Appearance: Pours dark brown and cloudy in color plus 1’ head.
Aroma: Malt, chocolate, vanilla and molasses
Mouth-feel: Creamy, medium bodied
Taste: Cocoa, vanilla, caramel
Overall: Vanilla-that’s about all I had to read in the ingredients to make me interested in this brew. That being said, it really does have flavors of Bakers chocolate or cocoa powder, chocolate malt and vanilla.
The description says it is Belgian wheat ale, but I cannot find anything along those lines in the flavor.
If you like chocolate and vanilla, this one is for you. Low in alcohol as well.
Shockolate Wheat is very similar to Winter’s Bourbon Cask ale—which is no longer made.
