Beer style: White IPA - brewed with a particular yeast strain that causes a “white” appearance.
Appearance: Light yellow in color with some haze; one-inch plus head; perfect lacing.
Smell: Aroma of pineapple and grapefruit
Taste: Loaded with citrusy hops...I get grapefruit, pineapple, and maybe even some mango and lemon. It has a little spice on the end as well.
Mouth-feel: Crisp, fresh, and light
Overall: There are a lot of really good things going on with the beer. It is loaded with citrus hop flavors (coming from the Amarillo and Mosaic hops) but it is also relatively light in feel. From the aroma I expected a fuller beer, but I am surprised with how light and smooth it is with all of this flavor. The Amarillo hop featured in the beer is the same hop used in Three Floyds Gumball Head. Great job New Belgium! Highly recommended.
