We are approaching one of my favorite seasons--Fall. Along with the beginning of Fall, I get to enjoy some of my seasonal favorites such as harvest ale, pumpkin beer, and Octoberfest. In this week’s blog, I will be reviewing Samuel Adams Octoberfest.
Appearance – Samuel Adams Octoberfest pours a dark copper color with a thick white head.
Smell – Octoberfest smells very rich with strong malty tones and a strong bread-like smell at the end.
Taste – Samuel Adams Octoberfest tastes rich and very malty, then finishes with a slightly roasted taste.
Mouth-feel – Sam Adams Octoberfest is very thick and almost silk-like. It has just enough carbonation at the end to give you a crisp finish.
Overall – I like this beer a lot! Sam Adams Octoberfest is exactly what I want when I look for a good Octoberfest. It is very rich with great flavor and a silky body. It is also very easy drinking. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good Octoberfest or a good tasting, easy drinking beer.
