Closure Pale Ale
This week’s beer is new to Wise Guys: Closure Pale Ale from Greenbush Brewing in Sawyer, Michigan. I have only heard good things about Greenbush Brewing and I believe that we at Wise Guys are the only ones in the area carrying this item.
Appearance – Closure Pale Ale pours a dark gold, almost brown in color with a thick off-white head. It seems to have decent carbonation.
Smell – Closure Pale Ale has a light sweet smell in the beginning. Afterwards, I get a light hop with that sweetness coming back. Very interesting...
Taste – Closure Pale Ale tastes hoppy pale in the beginning with a slight malt middle, just enough to compliment the hops. Then finishes very pale with a very earthy taste. It reminds me of flowers, but very subtle not overtaking the hops.
Mouth-feel - Nice carbonation that leaves your mouth crisp. Closure Pale Ale has a thick mouth feel for a pale…almost like silk. One of the thickest pale ales that I have ever tried.
Overall – Closure Pale Ale is a great beer. I was a little worried because I had high expectations, but I think that Greenbush Brewing did a great job. One of the better pale ales I’ve tried. It was very hoppy for a pale, but it didn’t end harshly. Closure Pale Ale is very well balanced & easy to drink. I’m excited to try other Greenbush Beers!
On sale this week 6 pk - $12.97
