Beer Style: IPA – This beer is brewed with 100% Australian Galaxy Hops. Schlafly brews a few different special IPAs each year, and this is becoming one of Schlafly’s most sought after brews.
Appearance: Golden bright in color--looks like a pilsner. Very small head with good carbonation. Some lacing.
Smell: Pineapple, citrus, bitterness
Taste: Very unique. Lots of pineapple flavor with some additional citrus--and plenty of bitter hops. Some spice and ginger on the finish.
Mouth-feel: Crisp, fresh, smooth, light, & creamy.
Overall: SCHLAFLY T-IPA is a very nice IPA loaded with pineapple and citrus flavor. The galaxy hops produce all kinds of interesting flavors. If you are an IPA drinker and are looking for a different hop flavor, SCHLAFLY T-IPA fits the bill. It does not taste like any other U.S. IPA that I can think of.
