Sam Adams Alpine Spring Beer:
APPEARANCE - Sam Adams Alpine Spring Beer beer pours a light copper in color. It has a thick, white head that subsides at a slow pace but with some lacing. Alpine has a slight haze to it with little carbonation.
SMELL - Sam Adams Alpine Spring Beer smells fruity, (I'm going to say apricot), followed by yeast-like smell...like it’s going to be a little sweet.
TASTE - Sam Adams Alpine Spring Beer starts sweet with a slight apricot taste--then right into a nice light malt backbone, but it doesn't over-power the flavors...very
well rounded crisp and refreshing.
MOUTHFEEL - Sam Adams Alpine Spring Beer is very crisp and light, and you get a little more carbonation than you would expect.
OVERALL - Overall I like Sam Adams Alpine Spring Beer! Even though it is not quite spring yet, I could see this being a very good spring beer. Very light and crisp, but with a great refreshing flavor. (If you are looking for a hoppy IPA or an intense stout stay away!) However, if you just looking to enjoy a well-rounded light and crisp beer on the first nice day of spring, Sam Adams Alpine Spring Beer fits the bill!
