Sierra Nevada’s Narwhal 4 pk. only $9.97
Beer style: Imperial stout – a style of beer that was brewed to impress the Russian czars in 1800s. This style is typically heavy on the malt and heavy on the alcohol as well.
Appearance: Pours black with a half-inch head. It appears to be a thick beer with solid lacing.
Smell: Coffee, dark chocolate, & roasted malt
Taste: So much flavor in the beer – Dark chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, faint smoke, and slight hop bitterness
Mouth-feel: Starts rich and dry, but finishes smooth and creamy
Overall: I love this beer. It exemplifies what superior Imperial Stouts can taste like. There is nothing thin or weak about this beer. It is a massive Imperial Stout that checks in at 10.2 percent alcohol. It is only available for a limited time. It also ages incredibly well. I aged one for about 6 months last year and it was terrific.
Cheers,
