This is a new release from Victory. It is a Double IPA featuring whole flower Citra, Simcoe, and Mosiac hops.
Appearance: Light orange in color with a one and a half inch head with perfect lacing with the pour.
Smell: Grapefruit, lemons, and pine. The aroma jumps out of the bottle upon opening.
Taste: Exactly what it smells like! Grapefruit, lemons, & pine. No malt taste whatsoever.
Mouth-feel: Mild carbonation. Fairly dry mouth-feel.
Overall: This is an excellent example of what a double IPA should be. Loaded with citrus flavor and then a shot of pine towards the end. All of the hop varietals used in this beer can be detected which is not always the case. This is an 8.7% ABV beer and I cannot find the alcohol. The hops have hid it well. One of the best new IPAs of the year! Highly recommended. Hopheads rejoice.
